While our overlords at the WEF are trying to convince us to eat bug-burgers to save the climate, it appears that interest in fake meat is waning. Both Impossible Foods and Beyond Meat are making substantial cuts in staff due to declining sales. I suppose that consumers are no longer willing to pay a premium for highly processed fake food.
I went to Kroger yesterday and they had 93% lean ground beef on sale for $4.99/lb. For grins, I checked the price of Beyond Meat 'Classic' burgers. The fake stuff was $8.00/lb (actually $15.99 for 2 lbs).
Let us all hope that Uncle Schwab's vision of maggots-for-the-masses dies a terrible death.

Cows are awesome. Humans began to domesticate cattle more than 10,000 years ago so I'm pretty sure that we are well adapted. I shall continue to eat NATURAL beef and cheese.
BEEF... it's what's for dinner. (And pork, and chicken, and salmon, and ...)
