Scary Scarcity - Shortage Report

Government inflicted shortages and the resultant inflation are getting generally worse.  There are far too many to write about, so here are three for this week.

Gasoline and Diesel
Fuel prices have continued to set new records nearly every day.  AND, prices are expected to get worse as we enter the summer 'driving season'. 

Please don't try to tell me this is NOT Biden's fault. This is NOT Putin's fault or Trumps fault or some insurmountable supply chain issue.  It is intentional.

Just this week, the Biden Administration canceled the Alaska Oil and Gas lease halting the potential to drill in a 1 Million acre tract.

Two weeks ago the Administration also halted two leases for development in the Gulf of Mexico.

Energy scarcity is an intentional policy of an anti-American administration.

Remember when I wrote that energy is the foundation of prosperity?  Well the Germans (and others) are learning about 'Green' energy the hard way.  There are serious shortages of fertilizer which WILL lead to food shortages. Aluminum plants have been shut down.  AND now,a shortage of ... Beer Bottles.

Sri Lanka
The Green New Deal just keeps on giving.

This week, Sri Lanka entirely ran out of fuel (seriously... zero fuel) and defaulted on its foreign debt for the first time in history as the country descends into chaos.

President Rajapaksa, in a move to 'Green' the economy,  banned all chemical fertilizers in April last year severely decreased yields leading to massive food shortages.  Food prices rose 46.6% on a yearly basis last month in a nation that cannot afford imports.

The newly appointed prime minister has reversed the ban but a global shortage of fertilizer will make it extremely difficult to improve the coming planting season.

Baby Formula
Let's see... The FDA has kept Abbott, the largest producer of baby formula, shut down for over three months.  They created a self-inflicted shortage of formula.

During this time, there have been massive shipments of formula to the southern border to feed and care for illegal immigrants.  

Progressive media is quick to proclaim that the US is required by law to care for these fake 'refugees' even if it causes hardship for our own citizens and families.  Unfortunately, I am forced to agree.  Since America-Last Joe has allowed an unprecedented torrent of fake refugees to enter and stay in our country, we now have a humanitarian obligation to feed them.  What a shitshow, Joe.

In an extraordinary PR stunt, Joe is having the US Military airlift emergency baby formula from Germany to the US.

The sheep are applauding this as a demonstration of Joe's decisive leadership. 

In reality, it is a knee jerk reaction to a self-inflicted problem that has been festering for months. The first shipment is 78,000 lbs, which is enough to prepare 500,000 8 oz bottles.  This may sound like a lot but each baby consumes about three bottle/day so the shipment will feed 100,500 kids for ONE DAY.

Germany has energy and food shortages of their own. What concessions did Joe make??
