You Will Own Nothing vs Property Rights

 The Manufactured Elites
One of my favorite 'manufactured elites' is Ida Aukem.  She is a Member of the Danish Parliament who has been groomed and promoted by the World Economic Forum.  neoterra.us/blog/the-manufactured-elites-part-1     She is a useful idiot.

She is most famous for her  essay Welcome to 2030.
"Once in awhile I get annoyed about the fact that I have no real privacy. No where I can go and not be registered. I know that, somewhere, everything I do, think and dream of is recorded. I just hope that nobody will use it against me".

She goes on to say "My biggest concern is all the people who do not live in our city. Those we lost on the way." She is so noble and sympathetic!  "Those who decided that it became too much, all this technology. Those who felt obsolete and useless when robots and AI took over big parts of our jobs. Those who got upset with the political system and turned against it. They live different kind of lives outside of the city.  in the empty and abandoned houses in small 19th century villages."

This is how the 'Elites' think.  This is how they view us.  Their vision for the future is based on two core assumptions:
  • They are entitled to rule because they are intellectually and morally superior
  • The great majority of common folks will just accept it and become happy serfs (except for a few misguided outcasts in small primitive villages).

BUT, both of those assumptions are WRONG.

Property Rights
Owning nothing is the road to serfdom.  Having no privacy is the road to slavery.  The founders of the United States considered the right to acquire and possess property as one of the fundamental and unalienable rights.   https://www.heritage.org/political-process/report/the-economic-principles-americas-founders-property-rights-free-markets-and

This is historically very important. The definition of "Property" (in the legal sense) is "
the exclusive right to possess, enjoy, and dispose of a thing". It is the right for you to use something as you see fit... for your benefit or enjoyment.

The concept of Property originated with the first human settlements. A Shepard tended to his flock. A family tended to their orchard.  Initially, 'property' was controlled by those who developed, tended and defended it.

Over centuries, the powerful (kings, royals, warlords) came to control all of the land. The landless (i.e. property-less) commoners became peasants, serfs and slaves. This has been the plight of humanity for thousands of years.

The American frontier broke the monopoly. Too much land, far beyond the reach of Royal control. Armed citizens who refused to obey.  Property again became available to the masses. It became a fundamental right.  And it lead to the greatest period of prosperity in human history.

Picture
I recently read Cornerstone of Liberty from the CATO Institute.  The book clearly articulates the connection between private property rights and Liberty.

While not everyone in America owns a factory, or a farm, or a home, the ability to do so is the foundation of self determination and liberty.

But Property is under assault by the Globalists.  The book goes into great detail describing how the rich and powerful are using eminent domain to unjustly acquire and control more and more property "for the social good". They are subverting politicians and courts to gain ever more control.

Summary
Today, billionaires, hereditary royals and dictators are again trying to take ownership of everything and reduce humanity to serfdom. The fake elites are nothing more than useful idiots employed to promote and implement their agenda.

Climate Hysteria, Pandemics, Scarcity and War are all artificial crises that have been engineered to create fear and obedience.  Sorry Ms. Auken...I'm not buying it.   If you want my property please Come Take It.

Abundant Energy

Energy = Prosperity
Abundant, affordable energy is the very foundation of civilization.   The current Green New Deal renewables (wind and solar) can make a contribution to our ever expanding demand for energy but will never be able to supply more than a fraction of our needs. The Green New Deal is a con-game and a bank-heist.

Over the past 20 years alone, global energy consumption has increase by more than 50%.  Contrary to the climate hysteria BS, per capita energy consumption in the US has been stable or declining during this period.   ALL of that enormous growth has come from industrialization and increasing prosperity in the rest of the world (mainly from China and India)

Global population is expected to reach over 9 BILLION people over the next 30 years.  That is the equivalent of adding 3X the United States population and we will all need an ever increasing amount of energy (and food).

Picture

100 years ago (in 1920) all of humanity consumed about 18.067 Terawatt-hours of energy... mostly from coal.  By 2019 it had increased to 171,240 Terawatt-hours. An almost 1000% increase.

In 2019, solar and wind contributed about 2,200 Terawatt-hours globally, which is less than 2% of consumption.  The idea that 'renewables' will grow from 2% to 100% in the next 25 years is a total fantasy (particularly since demand is rapidly increasing).

However, the future is NOT bleak or desperate. The United States has enough natural gas and petroleum to last for the rest of this century and there are amazing technologies being developed.

Solar
Solar energy is not an adequate replacement for fossil fuels.  While solar energy is fantastically abundant it is also dilute and requires an enormous footprint to collect it.
  • Sidebar - Solar energy at the surface of the Earth is roughly 1,000 Watts per square meter (1 square meter is about 10.8 square feet). A good quality solar panel is about 20% efficient and can produce about 200 Watts per square meter at peak sunlight (i.e. around solar noon).  Of course, the solar panels produce no energy at night.

The amount of energy the Earth receives from the sun in 90 minutes is more that the entire energy used by humanity in a year.

Another FACT that the Green New Deal folks never mention is that the abundant solar energy is actually not being wasted/discarded.  Sunlight supports all life on Terra and is the power source for growing crops, forests and precipitation.

I'm all in favor of installing solar panels on 'wasted' space like rooftops and parking lots. We have a 6kW solar array here at neoTerra.  But cutting down forests or covering cropland to install solar 'farms' is nothing more than destroying the environment to make a political statement.

Nuclear Fusion
- The Holy Grail
Nuclear Fusion is one of those mind-boggling technologies that never seems to make it beyond Science-Fiction.

As a bit of background, there are basically two categories of atomic energy:
  • Fission releases energy when very large, heavy elements (like Uranium or Plutonium) are broken down to create lighter elements. This is the type of process utilized in all current nuclear power plants.
  • Fusion is the opposite. It is a process where energy is released by ‘fusing’ two atoms of a light element (like Hydrogen) to form a heavier element (like Helium).

Fusion is the process that powers our Sun and all other stars.  It is about ten times more energetic than fission. In addition, Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the Universe, while extremely heavy elements (like Uranium) are rare.

Greater energy and abundant fuel make fusion the holy-grail of energy (at least until we get anti-matter warp drive).

The problem is that fusion is incredibly difficult to achieve in a controlled manner (we humans have successfully built Fusion/Hydrogen bombs but they tend to spectacularly blow shit up).  Honestly, folks, you really don’t want any fusion experiments in your neighborhood..

Limitless Fuel
Fuel… endless fuel… this is why fusion is the holy grail.  The basic fuel for Fusion is Hydrogen (the lightest element).  Each molecule of water (H2O) is composed of two Hydrogen atoms (i.e. the H2 part) and one Oxygen atom (i.e. ‘O’).   Planet Terra is over 70% ocean and there is a LOT of water.

To be efficient, (at temperatures we humans might be able to achieve) we need to use an isotope of Hydrogen called Deuterium.  In nature, the Deuterium variant makes up less than 1/6000th of all Hydrogen.   While this seems hopelessly small, there is enough Deuterium in a single gallon of water to provide enough energy for a modern, first-world person’s entire lifetime!

HONEST… If we can make it work it would be even better than Back to The Future.   With a real Mr. Fusion you don’t have to waste a can of Miller… you just need water.

Picture

Numerous countries and companies are working to develop nuclear fusion.  I doubt they will succeed in the next 20 years, but eventually we will have abundant, clean energy.

Deep Geothermal
Deep Geothermal is another promising technology that is much closer to reality than fusion.

There are some places where pockets of geothermal heat are very close to the surface. These are places that have geysers, hot springs and troublesome volcanoes.  Iceland, for example, gets much of its energy by tapping these heat sources to produce steam and electricity. The problem with these locations is that most people don’t want a volcano in the neighborhood.

However, there are many locations where vast pockets of geothermal heat lie at a safe distance of four or five miles beneath the surface.   These are depths that we are now able to reach with modern drilling technology.

Ironically, hydro-fracking, largely developed by US energy companies, is the key technology that makes it possible to harness the energy in these deep pockets.   The general idea is shown below.

Picture
Two (or more) deep wells are drilled and extended by horizontal drilling and hydro-fracking.   Cold water is pumped down through one well while steam and hot water are extracted through the other.  The steam is used to generate electricity and the residual hot water can be used for heating or industrial processes.   Although the infrastructure is very expensive the energy itself is essentially free and limitless.

Summary
Energy is the very cornerstone of civilization and prosperity. Energy poverty (being promoted by globalists) will be universal poverty.  The current 'energy shortages' are self-inflicted by government policies.

Fossil fuel (particularly natural gas) continues to be abundant and cost effective. That said, we should try to conserve hydro-carbons for production of fertilizer, plastics and other useful materials.

Solar and wind can augment our energy supplies but are not sufficient (or reliable) to meet our needs.

Nuclear (fission) is already proven and practical.

Other, promising, energy sources are on the horizon.  We need an expansion of Research and Development,  NOT a reduction in supply.

This is TOTALLY unimportant; but the Halo TV series (based on the incredibly popular Halo game) has launched to scathing reviews.   Fans are very disappointed that the series is not true to the game.   Since I never played the game I intend to watch (if I can get additional episodes for free).

One thing I like about Halo are the mech-suits worn by the elite 'Spartan' soldiers.  They are stolen right out of Heinlein's classic "Starship Troopers".   Halo is set in the 26th century... but I'm sure that the US and China will have mech-suits by 2100.... and I want one NOW!

Here's the link to Episode 1.  SORRY... Paramount has already removed the YT video... so I won't be watching Halo.

Carjackers are Unloved
Carjackings are out of control in Chicago... over 430 in the first three months of this year, which is roughly 5 per day.   Following a Chicago Police report showing that 57% of carjackings are committed by juveniles, Mayor Beetlejuice said it's because the youth of the city are "unloved", and went on to say it's because of remote learning sparked by COVID.

"I’ll be frank and say in Chicago there was a correlation we believe between remote learning and the rise in carjackings,"

There you have it folks.  It's not because of defunding police.  It's not because of revolving-door lax prosecution. It's not because of deranged Progressive policies.  Most of all... It's not her fault!

Ukrainian Innovation
While the situation in Ukraine is no laughing matter they have come up with an innovative way to obtain Russian weapons at a discount. The government is now offering bounties on Russian planes, tanks, choppers and ships.  Best of all, even Russian soldiers  can qualify for the bounty.  Here's a sample with prices in USD.
  • Combat Aircraft - $1,000,000
  • Combat Helicopter - $500,000
  • Tank - $100,000

Based on the $13.6 BILLION in aid that Biden signed off in the emergency spending package, I believe that Ukraine could buy the entire Russian army.  YAY!!  Buy your way to victory!

The United States Is NOT a Democracy

...and that is a very good thing

The Rise of The Urban Progressives

Roughly half of the US population now lives in urban areas that occupy only 3-4% of the land area. In fact, about 1/2 of the population resides in only 146 counties, as illustrated in the following map.

A map of the counties that voted for Joe Biden in 2020 (not shown) is almost identical, highlighting the growing divide between Progressive Urban 'Elites' and the rest of the (deplorable) nation.

It should not be surprising that urban dwellers tend to embrace socialism. They are utterly dependent on the urban infrastructure they occupy and have no concept of self sufficiency.  The city provides their water and takes away their sewage and trash.  They need an elevator to get to their high-rise apartment and nothing works if the power goes out. Though they rant about Climate Change they really don't give a shit about where the electricity that powers their existence magically comes from.

They rely on society to provide a bit of shared outdoor space (i.e. public parks). They claim to be 'environmentalists' but their entire environment, as far as the eye can see,  is nothing more than urban infrastructure.. concrete, asphalt, glass and steel.

They can't grow their own food and have no idea where it really comes from.  They depend on a massive police force to protect them from their 'neighbors'.

Their incompetent government is much less frightening then the gang-infested environment they voted for so they just don't grasp the need for the 2nd Amendment.

They are willing socialists.

Picture

As the percentage of people living in Progressive Urban enclaves has grown the Progressives seem to be increasingly upset that the United States is a Constitutional Republic, specifically created with checks and balances which prevent them from controlling all our lives by mob rule.

The Undemocratic Senate
In particular, they despise the existence of the US Senate, which gives every state equal representation, regardless of population (i.e. two Senators per state).  A quote:
“We should keep in mind that the original one-state, two-senators rule was written and ratified by property-owning white men, almost half of whom owned slaves…”

Please read the link... I'm not making this up. slcc.pressbooks.pub/attenuateddemocracy/chapter/chapter-24/

Demographics
In 2016, half of the US population lived in just 9 states (coincidentally, states with large urban populations).  This means that half the population only gets 18 Senators, while the other half gets 82.

Of course our Constitution was designed this way from the very beginning to protect rural populations and the autonomy of the individual states but it REALLY makes Progressives angry now that they have a plurality (or perhaps a slight majority).
  • Sidebar - Claims by Democrats that this is some new situation are total bullshit.  In 1770 the population of the original 13 States (colonies at that time) was about 2,090,619 and just four states had roughly 53% of the population (Virginia, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Maryland).  www.yttwebzine.com/yesterday/2013/10/28/75757/population_13_colonies_chart

Why Is This Important??
You might be wondering why I'm writing about this... why is it important?  Well, I'm glad you asked.

There are two demographic forces at work that we need to take advantage of.
  • Urban population is increasing and only 8 states will posses 1/2 the population within 15-20 years. In other words, 1/2 of the population will have only 16 guaranteed Senators.
  • Conservatives are abandoning Progressive Urban areas, often moving to more conservative states where their votes actually count.

These forces may allow Conservatives, Constitutionalists and Libertarians to gain and maintain control over the Senate.
  • There is no guarantee...  Progressive Urban Socialists (PUS) and the Globalist Billionaires have deep pockets and control the media.  They will do everything in their power to buy Senate seats as they did in Georgia in 2020.

Please understand, control of the Senate does not in any way mean that we can (or should) impose our values over the Progressives... they can continue to do whatever the hell they want in their states.  It merely means that we can decide what's important to us in our states (as our Constitution was brilliantly designed).

As long as 'traditionalists' control the Senate, the Great Reset and the New World Order will be frustrated in the United States (though the Globalists do have great power through the Central Banks and through self-inflicted Biden-inflation... a topic for another post).

This year we have the opportunity to take back the House and change the narrative.  Recall that the House is (and was designed to be) the "Democratic" chamber that represents the populist majority. If we take the House then we take the "democratic" high ground.

Then the Progressives will be screaming and crying that they need the Senate, the filibuster and the Courts to protect them from the ignorant, deplorable majority... their two-faced hypocrisy will be completely exposed.
