Clown World - Election 2024 Edition

It is so difficult to get ahead of events!

Please note that this isn't a rant against the Democrat Party ... it's a rant against hypocrisy and dishonesty. Just yesterday I wrote about the parallels between 1968 when the Dems accepted the National Guard (NG) to quell rioting and 2020 when they refused.

One might criticize my comparison by saying "Mr. Terra, 1968 was a long time ago. Using the NG isn't appropriate now."

Well ... you would be very wrong. Just yesterday (mere hours after my Blog post) , Gov Kathy Hochul announced that she would deploy 750 NG troops to patrol the New York SUBWAY.

Imagine, that crime is so bad you need the Army to pacify the Subway.

And, please recall in 2020, Mayor Lori Lightfoot referred to similar assistance as "Donald Trump's Troops".

It isn't necessary to go all the way back to 1968. To see hypocrisy in action we just have to compare 2020 to 2024.

The very best irony of Hochul's militarized subways is that just last week President Joe told the public "Last year, the United States had one of the lowest rates of all violent crime in more than 50 years,"

The Administration must think the voters are all morons. I've hired an ASL interpreter for ya, Joe.

As y'all know I enjoy mocking Chicago and Ill-Annoy, because I escaped from Chicago.

SO, I'd like to brighten your morning with some Clown World antics from Peoria. I honestly thought this was satire ... but it is real.

In an age where Dems are defunding police departments and screaming about police racism, the Peoria Police Dept put up a recruitment poster depicting a bunch of YT cops pointing scary "assault" rifles. I thought the "Call of Duty" theme was in poor taste but kinda funny. However, as expected, the "public" lost their minds over the "overt militarization and violent implications".

Police Chief Echevarria apologized profusely to his outraged critic.

In the meantime, the murder rate in Chicago is more than one-a-day and people are fleeing the state. ROCK-ON Illinois!

Mayhem and Theft

Introduction
In my previous post I spoke negatively about Progressive Utopia (aka Democrat run cities and states).

Having escaped from Chicago some years ago, I admit that my views on rampant crime, violent intimidation and theft just might be biased.

I feel compelled to make amends. In this segment I shall compare the mostly peaceful behavior seen in Progressive Utopia versus the intimidation and mayhem of rural, conservative America.

Mayhem In Progressive Utopia
First, let us look at Progressive Urban Utopia, where vibrant diversity, equity and tolerance prevail above all else.... shall we?   Since Chicago is the Progressive Urban Utopia I am most familiar with... let us focus on the Windy City.

Chicago was once known as the City-Of-Broad-Shoulders. The city that rebuilt itself from the ashes of the Great Fire of 1871 and became the envy of the entire world during the World Colombian Exposition a mere 22 years later in 1893.    Rebuilt and re-imagined as the shining gem of the American Heartland.

How are things going today?

O'Hare Airport
O'Hare, was not only the busiest airport in the world but the World's hub. Well, no longer.

Downtown Chicago
Yikes, the new Mayor says "It is not constructive to demonize youth starved for opportunities". No wonder this shit keeps getting worse.

Mayhem In Rural America
It is unfair to demonize Progressive Utopia when intimidation and mayhem also occur in Rural America.

Just this past week, a Black bear brazenly invaded a bakery in rural Connecticut, intimidated the employees and made off with 60 cupcakes. It left a trail of smashed bakery goods.

Conclusion
Violent robberies are rampant in Conservative Rural America.

If you are a Democrat, you should stay in Chicago where it's safe.

It's a dismal rain day and I'm not working on the neoTerra Victory Garden (which reminds me that I owe y'all a progress report).

Today I'm catching up on the collapse of Western civilization.

Domestic Migration - The Book Of Exodus
The exodus from Democrat-run cities and states is accelerating.

The amusing graphic below highlights the flight from the two worst states to the two best states. California lost over 500,000 people between 2020 and 2022... and New York lost even more!

It shows that when voting at the ballot box no longer works people will begin voting with their feet.

The following graphic, which shows domestic migration by county, is even more interesting. It clearly shows that even in states with a massive population influx, the Democrat-run cities are being hollowed-out.

Florida and Texas are prime examples. Although each state has had a massive increase in population, cities like Miami, Houston and Dallas are being drained. There is a similar trend in many other cities like Atlanta, Memphis and Birmingham.

A few states are so badly run (New York, California, Illinois and Louisiana) that even the rural areas are shrinking.

Illegal Migration - Contemporary Colonizers
While the Administration has committed more than $112 BILLION to defending Ukrainian sovereignty it has totally neglected the invasion taking place at our Southern border. It is estimated that there are now more than 15 MILLION illegals residing in the United States. Unfortunately, I can't show their migration patterns because our incompetent government can't keep track of people who don't exist.

To put this in perspective, the 2020 Census (updated for 2022) shows that indigenous people comprise about 1.3% of our total population of roughly 333 Million. Dangerous Times
Unfortunately the Progressive Urban Socialists are like locusts. When they flee the shitholes they created many still cling to their failed Progressive policies.

My hope is that the majority of the folks fleeing Blue territory are decent people fed up with spiraling crime, spiraling taxes and unfair woke agendas. We need more honest, rational people to hold the line.

Clown World - How To Reduce Murder Rates

This is so tragic I was reluctant to call it Clown World. People ask me why I demonize Democrats... well, it's because Democrats are demons.

No More Murder
This week, Democrat lawmaker Charlotte Cruchfield introduced legislation that would prevent anyone under 25 with being charged with murder. Please let me make this VERY CLEAR. If you're under 25 you can kill people and not get charged with murder.

The Democrat 'science' behind the 'Youth Accountability and Safety Act' is "the human brain is not fully formed in the frontal lobes until age 25".

Please keep in mind that these are the same people who say that 16-year-olds are mature enough to vote and that 12-year-olds are mature enough to get gender surgery without their parent's permission.

Forgive me if I see a demonic contradiction here. SO... according to Democrats, at 25 a person's brain is not mature enough to understand that murder is BAD... but at 16 they are mature enough to vote on genuinely complex issues. I'm sorry Dems... you cannot have it both ways.

Dem Benefits
I always say 'follow the money' which should be expanded to 'follow the benefits'. What are the benefits... you might ask??

Let us be clear... there are NO benefits to the citizens who will continue to be terrorized by violent thugs. However, there will be great benefits to the Democrat politicians:

At least 75% of murders in Democrat-run urban areas will no longer be referred to as murders. They will change the language and come up with some new disingenuous term like 'death from being in the wrong place at the wrong time'. There will be even more dead bodies but reported crime will be dramatically reduced. Dem cities will become officially safer... LOL
The majority of violent crime in every Democrat-run urban are is committed by young Black males. Acknowledging the truth is clearly caving in to white, western concepts of law and morality. Decriminalizing murder is a virtuous step toward equity. We must normalize violence and murder in the name of 'Safety'.

Conclusion
We are allowing our nation to become a place where violence and even murder are tolerated... if you fit the right demographic.   The outmoded idea that All-Men-Are-Equal-In-The-Eyes-Of-The-Law has come to an end.

I think we should all write to our Representatives and Senators to suggest an 'Elderly Accountability and Safety Act'.    This Act would propose that all people over 65 are no longer mentally competent to be charged with murder.

Who knows... perhaps the hunted would become the hunters.   If there was a level playing field.

Sustaining Liberty - The End of Self Defense

The following story is from Progressive, enlightened Denmark. However, it is a warning of what's coming to America if we allow the Democrats to continue their assault on the Constitution.

A 17 year-old woman used pepper spray to repel a rapist who assaulted her, knocked her to the ground and tried ripping her clothes off. Please note that pepper spray is non-lethal and the pain is serious but very short duration.

The attack occurred near a 'migrant asylum' but we will probably never know if the attacker was a migrant. You see, the police have not apprehended a suspect.

The young woman, however, is being charged for the crime of defending herself since pepper spray is illegal in Denmark! The fine is small (about $75) but it is still an assault on a person's right to defend themselves from harm.

First they take your guns, then they take away any possibility of defending yourself (body armor will be next.. then knives... then pepper spray). When you are completely helpless, then they will take away all your other rights.

Self defense is not merely some right granted by government... it is innate behavior to all living things. All animals will flee or fight to survive.

The overpowering instinct to survive has been understood since the very dawn of humanity. It was acknowledged and codified by Hammurabi almost 4,000 years ago. When the right of self defense is forfeit then civilization itself has come to an end.

Europe is failing and the Democrats are doing everything they can to bring failure to America.

Democrat Leadership - Urban Utopia

Warning: This is a disturbing segment with a lot of disturbing imagery.

This compelled me to take a look at how severe the urban homeless camps have become.

Homelessness and vagrancy have been chronic problems for many, many years.... so I'm not blaming Joe for the problem. However, the flood of unskilled, uneducated illegals and the torrent of fentanyl and opioids flowing across the southern border have made the situation dramatically worse.

I'm also angry that Biden and his Cabinet of Clowns lie about how great the economy is doing, demonize Conservatives and do nothing to address the crime and decline in Democrat-run cities. FJB.

I'm not actually sure what this Progressive Urban Socialist is pissed about. I'll assume it's probably RvW since they refer to "radical Christians" and "backward ass rural conservatives".

I'm always amused when 'educated' people imagine that they are superior to "disillusioned redneck/white trash/blue collar types". So intelligent, elite and arrogant.

These are the same folks who worship WaPo and believe Joe is doing a great job.

The best part of the post from this courageous soy-person is "I'm not the organizing type. But maybe some who is can organize..."

This particular Tweet was deleted quickly. If this was one isolated nut-case I wouldn't bother to write about it. But I have read (without exaggeration) 100's of deranged posts calling for burning the Supreme Court, burning churches or other violence. I just don't understand why Twitter allows posts that clearly violate their standards.

I have a thought for @ripitthrowaway.

The Rational Prepper - Body Armor - Part 2

Armor Ban
As I mentioned last week, the NY State Legislature passed a bushel basket of new anti-gun laws, one of which, bans the sale/purchase of body armor to civilians. Governor Hochul signed the bills into law yesterday (Monday). The new law bans the sale/purchase or transfer of a 'body vest' to anyone not engaged in an 'eligible activity'. This is vaguely defined to include: law enforcement, military, security and other professions as may be designated by the State. As with so-called 'assault weapon bans' I suspect that members of the State government will be exempt from the laws they pass on the rest of us.

Armor Basics
First, NO armor is bullet-proof. Armor is bullet-resistant and provides a degree of protection from specific threats.

Second, (and I suppose this should be obvious) armor only protects the areas actually covered. Your arms, legs, hips and head are still exposed. Wearing armor does NOT make you super-man-woman-person. (But it does improve your odds of survival)

Body armor is rated/tested by the National Institute of Justice (NIJ). The different levels of protection are illustrated in the following diagram, with Level IIA being the lowest and Level IV being the highest. Levels IIA, II and IIIA can be provided with soft, concealable armor (such as Kevlar).

Levels III and IV require rigid armor plates.

Soft vs Hard
I suggest level IIIA soft armor but everyone's needs are different. Here is a primer on hard vs soft armor.

Soft Armor
Soft armor, as the name implies, is relatively thin, lightweight and designed to be (fairly) comfortable for everyday use for extended periods of time. It typically weighs under 5 or 6 pounds and is generally thin enough that it can be worn discretely underneath regular clothing. This is the type of armor worn by police throughout America.

Soft armor is constructed from flexible, strong fabrics such as Kevlar. The fabric stops the projectile and spreads the impact over a large area. Note that the impact may still cause serious bruising or broken ribs.

Soft armor typically wraps around the body and provides some protection to the sides, as well as extended coverage of the chest and back.

The main disadvantage is that soft armor is only rated for handgun threats and provides no protection against rifles. Quality soft armor is also substantially more expensive than steel plates.

Hard Armor
As the name implies, hard armor is composed of steel, ceramic, or polymer plates. Generally, steel plates are the heaviest (weighing in at 16+ lbs for front and back), fairly thin and the least expensive.

Polymer plates are much thicker than steel but they are also lighter, weighing in at only 6-7 pounds for two plates (front and back).

The primary advantage to hard plates is protection against rifle rounds. Level III plates can defeat common AK-47 rounds, while level IV plates can provide protection against more powerful 'battle rifle' rounds. The military and SWAT use level IV plates.

Hard plates provide less coverage than soft armor and are often worn with soft armor underneath.

Hard armor is worn over clothing and is not concealable. The plates come in a bewildering variety of sizes, shapes and curvatures, as illustrated below. However, comfort is NOT a primary concern and there are no hard plates designed specifically for women. (click the pic for Pew-Pew's full armor review)

Female Armor
If you're a man (i.e. a non-birthing person) then you have virtually unlimited choices in armor. There are far fewer options for women.

This isn't really sexist... it's mostly a matter of simple practicality... hard armor, purchased in vast quantities by the military, isn't comfortable for anyone. There's no discrimination against women.... it is heavy, it's bulky, and it sucks... just get over it.

Law Enforcement, on the other hand, uses soft armor almost exclusively (except for SWAT). There are now a few companies making soft armor specifically designed for women. There are two examples in the pics below.

For the ladies who are 'more average', I like the product on the left because it is composed of an advanced Kevlar + Graphene composite that is thin and breathable. However, it is only available in generic sizes. The product on the right is available in tailored sizes and can be ordered with cup sizes up to DD. Click the pics for links.

You may think I'm being overly dramatic.... but I'm not. Here's a pic of the Ukrainian parliament during the Crimea incursion years ago. (Sorry, I don't recall who this is)

She isn't wearing the armor correctly... it should be pulled up higher... above the sternum to protect the heart and lungs.

But it illustrates where the world is headed. Armor for the government... armor for elites... but not for YOU.

BTW, I assume the pic is mirror-reversed... the wedding ring and phone are reversed.

Conclusion
Though soft armor will not stop rifle rounds, I believe Level IIIA is the most practical option for civilians (like us). It is lightweight, concealable and can be worn all day (honest).

Mass shootings with 'assault rifles' make sensational headlines in the media and provide powerful Distractions for Dishonest Democrats (I love alliteration). However, FBI statistics over many. many years show that rifles (of any type) are used in less than 3% of homicides, while handguns are used in the VAST majority of crimes (knives are in second place and beating or kicking someone to death is in third).

In my opinion, armor that you can wear comfortably and discreetly, ... that provides reasonable protection from 90% of random violent crime (might not protect you from hammers or baseball bats) is a much better investment than heavy armor that you will never wear.

If you live in a RED state... DON'T PANIC you have plenty of time to consider your options. If you live in a Blue state.... sorry, elections have consequences.

Intro
Back in October 2021 I wrote about how Cook County, Illinois has legalized murder and running gun battles in public. I'm not making this up... here is the segment to refresh your memory.

The Purge is Coming to Chicago
A deadly gang shootout took place on the morning of October 4th, 2021 requiring a SWAT team response. Over 70 shots fired with one banger dead and two wounded. On the following Monday the Cook County States Attorney dropped all charges and released the dirt-bags citing “Mutual Combat” as the reason. This is a term from the golden age of dueling to describe a "fight into which both parties enter willingly, or in which two persons, upon a sudden quarrel, and in hot blood, mutually fight upon equal terms."

Please note that this ancient law refers to TWO PERSONS (i.e. a duel)… it does not absolve two carloads of gangsters shooting up a house-full of other gangsters. I can only assume that the Cook County Attorney attended Chicago Public Schools and is severely lacking in reading comprehension. Perhaps she received her Law Degree from Costco.

Also note that illegal possession of firearms, illegally modifying semi-auto weapons to fire as full auto, illegally discharging firearms within city limits and endangering innocent bystanders weren’t even considered in the decision to release these assholes. Apparently gang members can laugh at gun laws because Illinois prosecutors don’t bother to enforce them. Law abiding citizens are persecuted for minor infractions while gangsters go free. Meanwhile elected officials defund the Police. You just can’t make this shit up.

BTW, this was not an isolated incident. Just one week later Cook County prosecutors released a 17 year-old who fatally stabbed an unarmed 18 year-old in Schaumburg.... again citing "Mutual Combat". I guess they did not comprehend the part about “fight upon equal terms”.

Crime and violence is spiraling out of control in Progressive cities. The criminals are rarely caught... and when they do get caught they are released. You may want to consider investing in body armor before the Purge comes to a city near you.

No Body Armor For You
Following the recent mass shootings that have plagued the country, New York State has banned the sale of body armor to civilians. "The bills would prohibit the purchase of body armor for civilians, and require a license to purchase a semiautomatic rifle"

The Police can't protect you. Progressive Prosecutors won't protect you. AND Progressive legislators (including Pres Joe) will do everything they can to insure that you can't protect yourself.

YES! Except in NY (when the new law goes into effect) or if you are a convicted felon (existing Federal law). You're not a convicted felon... right?
