Actually, this isn't about our 2nd Amendment. It is about how people will allow authoritarian governments (kings, socialists, despots and Democrats) to turn them into serfs.

Today I compare the mentality of the citizens of the Old World to the citizens of the last free nation on Earth.

While the Democrats and Socialists (but, I repeat myself) are working to demonize "assault" rifles here in the US, their counterparts in England are now demonizing "Zombie" knives and swords.

In each case, the key to manipulating the faithful is to invent scary words and invoke scary images.

Samurai swords have been illegal in Britain for several years (curved blades are very scary) and there is now legislation moving forward to ban Medieval straight swords as well. Here is a list of currently illegal swords:

Zombie Sword – a sword whose cutting edge has serrated forms that could land lethal strikes or have clearly shown details of murderous images (for example, the word death) on them. These are also called zombie knives on occasion
Cane Sword – a cane that resembles a walking stick which might have a hidden thin blade inside of it or sticking out from the edge of the cane
Stealth Sword – any type of sword stick that resembles regular day items, like an umbrella. Because of this, these swords could be hidden and carried without being noticed by the public. They’re also often made out of material that cannot be detected by metal detectors
Curved Sword – any curved blade that has an overall length larger than 19.68 in (50 cm) based on a straight line from the guard to the end of the blade.

Of course, these restrictions are merely examples of 'common sense sword control' ... after all, Samurai swords are weapons of war, right?

Well, let's see what happens when you empower overzealous, self-appointed social Nazis.

Ahhh, on the left we have 'Zombie' pliers taken off the streets. And on the right we have courageous Officer McGulgan taking dangerous scissors from school children.

I would like to leave y'all with a few thoughts on independence and self-reliance.

Any society where the citizens have been so beaten into submission that they now fear Medieval weapons and pointy scissors deserves to descend into irrelevance.

Socialists preach 'equity' to seduce the masses and convince everyone that they're a victim of someone. Equity breeds mediocrity and poverty and always descends into despotism.

Every socialist experiment has turned to tyranny. Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Maduro. There have been no exceptions.

Be careful what you vote for.

I imagine that the Brits will eventually discover the ultimate solution to crime, violence and human passion.

They're Coming For Your... 3d Printer

New York is, again, at the forefront of absurdity.

In addition to banning gas stoves and furnaces. In addition to banning wood-fired pizza ovens. They are now banning 3D printers.

OK, I am slightly exaggerating, they are passing legislation to require a criminal background check to purchase or own a 3D printer. Unfortunately for the serfs (I mean citizens) of New York, the Constitution does not have an amendment granting the right to keep and bear 3D printers.

Sometimes I scare myself... I wrote this two years ago in my dystopian sci-fi novel..

      Another chuckle. “Jason, have you ever seen a 3D printer?”

      “Sure, we have an XB96 at the Roscoe. I haven’t used it, but it seems to be pretty awesome”.

      "Well, the XB96 doesn’t print metal because you sheep aren’t allowed to print anything durable without a license”.

It seems that New York is finally catching up with my prophesy. Oh, and they shall have up to 15 days to review your request so you may have to wait 15 days to get your printer.   I'm sure that their next legislation will ban the Maker Faire Loophole.... how dare you sell your old 3D printer to someone else!!

The 2nd - Lyin' Biden and God Save The Queen

The crazy stupid $hit that comes out of Joe's mouth is beyond belief. I can imagine that Joe is actually mentally impaired but his speech writers should have a few facts at hand.

Three days ago Joe actually said that when you put a brace (a piece of plastic) on the back of a handgun it turns it into a gun. Folks, a handgun is a gun. "Put a pistol on a brace, and it ma- — turns into a gun".

I can forgive Joe for this bit of word salad, but then he went on to say "Makes them where you can have a higher-caliber weapon — a higher-caliber bullet coming out of that gun"

Seriously?? Does anyone actually believe that putting a piece of plastic on the back of a gun somehow makes bigger diameter bullets come out the front of the gun? Even Progressives should know this is bullshit.

The primary purpose of a pistol brace is to improve accuracy... particularly when shooting with only one hand. I'm not sure that I agree with the concept... but it DOES NOT make the pistol shoot bigger bullets.

BUT... Best Of All, Joe concluded his anti-gun speech with the words "God save the Queen, man".... to rousing Progressive applause.

Lyin' Biden is at it again.... spewing complete lies while he panders to Progressives.

Here is a recent quote from the Liar In Chief.
"you know, everybody thinks somehow the Second Amendment is absolute. You’re not allowed to go out and own a – an automatic weapon. You’re not allowed to own a machine gun. You’re not allowed to own a flamethrower."

Even the Progressive cheerleaders at CNN had to call 'bullshit' on Joe this time. Flamethrowers and fully automatic weapons are indeed legal and always have been. In fact, there were more than 700,000 machine guns legally owned by American citizens in 2021.

Joe Biden's Pledge
Joe Biden is at it again... recently declaring "But guess what? We’re going to ban assault weapons again come hell or high water.”

Let's ignore the Unconstitutionality of this pledge for a moment and focus merely on the dishonesty and deception.

An AR-15 (or similar) is NOT an 'assault weapon". By military definition an 'assault weapon' is fully automatic (i.e. a machine gun) while the AR-15 is semi-auto.
- If the Democrats were at all honest they would state that they seek to ban ALL semi-automatic weapons... instead of invoking scary 'assault weapons'.
Over the past two years, Joe had both the House and the Senate... and they did nothing. Now that Conservatives control the House his pledge is disingenuous at best.

The 1994 Assault Weapon Ban
Joe goes on to brag about the effectiveness of 'his' 1994 Assault Weapon Ban, which is also total deception. In the 1994 AWB an 'Assault Weapon' was defined as follows:

A semi-automatic rifle with the ability to accept a detachable magazine and at least two of the following banned features.
1. A folding or telescoping stock.
2. A pistol grip.
3. A bayonet mount.
4. A flash suppressor or threaded barrel.
5. A grenade launcher

I'm not aware of anyone ever robbing a convenience store at bayonet-point... AND... grenades were (and are) illegal as 'destructive devices'. Manufacturers merely removed the 'banned features', except for the pistol grip and continued to sell warm, cuddly 'Sporting Rifles'.

The rifle in the top picture is a vicious 'Assault Weapon'... see the bayonet lug protruding below the front site. The lower picture is an identical Colt AR-15 with the bayonet lug milled off...

Joe's 1994 AWB was an epic failure. There was no decrease in gun violence.

The ban also greatly increased interest in the AR. Prior to the ban there were fewer than 1 million ARs in circulation but that number increased rapidly after 1994. Today, it's estimated that there are 20 million civilian-owned ARs.

With 20/20 hindsight, many view Joe Biden as the greatest AR booster in history.

The Rational Prepper - Sustaining Civilization

I started the Rational Prepper segment several months ago with a discussion regarding location. My theory is simple; the best way to prep for disasters is to avoid them. Just move somewhere that doesn't have earthquakes, hurricanes or toxic waste dumps.

There are MANY areas in the United States that are beautiful and relatively immune from natural disasters. For us, the ideal area is in the southern Appalachians.

As a bonus, many man-made (or self-inflicted) threats can be avoided by moving to rural America.

Robbery and violent crime are escalating to epidemic proportions in Democrat cities while they defund Police and while Progressive DAs release hardened criminals without bail.

Here in the mountains, the situation is a bit different.

Yesterday (January 10th), a scumbag (with a pair of women's panties pulled over his face as a disguise) attempted to rob a convenience store in Ellijay, Georgia. Within moments, three armed customers subdued the robber and held him for police. No shots were fired... even a stupid criminal is smart enough to surrender when the odds are three against one.

Unlike Chicago, the perp (and his wife) are being held without bail and they WILL go to jail. The three armed citizens are being honored as heroes.

Sorry Democrats... guns are not the problem... YOU ARE!

YIKES! It is so hard to keep abreast. Just a few days ago I wrote about how British Home Secretary Suella Braverman declared a zero-tolerance policy against pointy kitchen knives (and scissors).

Well, today Ms. Braverman has resigned after only six weeks on the job.

A Trans Conservative?

Terminology In the Era of Woke-Speak
I suppose that we have all been indoctrinated with enough woke-speak to know that a biological male who becomes a 'woman' is to be respectfully called a trans woman.

In the spirit of acceptance and tolerance, I suggest that a Democrat who decides to become Conservative should be referred to as a Trans Conservative.

Please note, there is a spectrum and we must be careful to not mis-trans someone. For example, if someone went a step further and joins the Republican Party then they should be called a Trans Republican and (I gasp in horror) they might even become a Trans MAGA.

Has Tulsi Transitioned?
Tulsi Gabbard, former Democrat Congresswoman from Hawaii and a member of the WEF Young Global Leaders, has been rebranding herself this year. In June she put out a tweet supporting a Supreme Court decision defending the 2nd Amendment in New York State. (Click the Pic)

Tulsi Leaves The Democrat Party
Today, during her introduction of The Tulsi Gabbard Show, she announced that she is leaving the Democrat Party.

Some people are already speculating that she is a 'spoiler' who will siphon votes away from Republicans. There is a serious flaw in this theory... she isn't running for anything.

It's much more likely that this bombshell announcement is just a great way to get her new YT channel to go viral. There have been more than 2.6 Million views in just 4 hours.

In any case, I believe that she has helped Conservatives by making this announcement with just three weeks to the mid-terms. So... aloha and thanks, Tulsi.

The absurdity of the Progressive Socialist mind is simply breathtaking. AND, people actually vote for this shit!

A couple of days ago (Oct 08) British Home Secretary Suella Braverman vowed a zero tolerance crack down on ... knife possession. In the (once mighty) British Empire possessing a knife is a felony with a maximum sentence of up to four years in prison. (click the pic)

Judge Nic Madge, an esteemed Brit legal scholar, questions whether common people have a legitimate need for pointy knives. He states "Kitchens contain lethal knives which are potential murder weapons" and went on to say only "Butchers and fishmongers [need pointy knives], but how often, if at all, does a domestic chef use the point of an 8′ or 10′ knife? Judge Nic Madge proposes that domestic chefs (i.e. woke-speak for commoners) should only be allowed to own rounded knives.

Of course, he IS a legal 'expert' so his logic, regarding my legitimate needs. is beyond question. I ask you... How often, if at all, would I, a mere domestic chef, ever have a legitimate need for a chef's knife?

Judge Madge would surely put me in prison for a very long time for assaulting vegetables with a pointy knife!! Surely such activities should be restricted to licensed, trusted professionals (like fishmongers).

Everything Is A Potential Weapon
If my kitchen knife drawer should be regulated by the enlightened government, what about all the other 'deadly' things I own? I am not a licensed carpenter... how is it that I have a little tack hammer, a larger 16 oz hammer, a 22 oz framing hammer, and (gasp) a big-ass sledge hammer? OMG I have a veritable arsenal of potentially lethal hammers!!

To make matters much worse for me, I also possess a semi-automatic Pasload nail gun that takes large capacity nail strips. What possible need could a home-owner have for such serious nail power??

Fortunately, the Progressive insanity hasn't totally destroyed America... yet. I believe the 2nd Amendment still states

"the right to keep and prepare vegetables shall not be infringed".
'The right to keep wood and cut wood shall not be infringed"

Of course I'm being facetious. Actually, I think all of this falls under a more encompassing, intrinsic, God-given Right.

The right to use tools, the right to use imagination, the right to use your own initiative in the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.

I think that might become the 2nd Amendment in the neoTerran Constitution. It will certainly be a theme in future posts.

Sustaining Liberty - The End of Self Defense

The following story is from Progressive, enlightened Denmark. However, it is a warning of what's coming to America if we allow the Democrats to continue their assault on the Constitution.

A 17 year-old woman used pepper spray to repel a rapist who assaulted her, knocked her to the ground and tried ripping her clothes off. Please note that pepper spray is non-lethal and the pain is serious but very short duration.

The attack occurred near a 'migrant asylum' but we will probably never know if the attacker was a migrant. You see, the police have not apprehended a suspect.

The young woman, however, is being charged for the crime of defending herself since pepper spray is illegal in Denmark! The fine is small (about $75) but it is still an assault on a person's right to defend themselves from harm.

First they take your guns, then they take away any possibility of defending yourself (body armor will be next.. then knives... then pepper spray). When you are completely helpless, then they will take away all your other rights.

Self defense is not merely some right granted by government... it is innate behavior to all living things. All animals will flee or fight to survive.

The overpowering instinct to survive has been understood since the very dawn of humanity. It was acknowledged and codified by Hammurabi almost 4,000 years ago. When the right of self defense is forfeit then civilization itself has come to an end.

Europe is failing and the Democrats are doing everything they can to bring failure to America.
