Please note, I'm not "fatphobbic". I don't care about your weight ... my weight is my concern. Your body is yours.
My philosophy on life is simple ... You should love yourself and those who love you. You should strive to become the person you wish to be ... (Unless you're a member of ANTIFA, in which case you should experience self hatred and loathing).
That said, I'm growing weary of the absurd effort to establish "fatphobia" as yet another intersectional realm of victimization. In The Lattice I carry this movement to it's absurd ending and portray an elitist world where political correctness, and media bullshit have made "Healthies" the standard of beauty and where fit people are sneered at as "lightweights".
I'm posting about this today because Forbes (once a respected financial rag) has published an article wondering why America is still not ready for ... weight for it ... "Mixed-Weight Romance". WTF!!
The thrust of the article is that there aren't enough movies that feature athletic, fit, powerful males with "chubby" women (i.e. mixed-weight romance). Why aren't all films depicting heroic medieval male warriors fighting to the death for "healthy" women?? Please read on ...
This question reveals the Progressive dilemma and expanding division. The "feminists" will be outraged if a female character isn't a Rapinoe Valkyrie. But the "healthies" will be pissed if she isn't a Lizzo love interest.
Honestly, I don't question the author, Virgie Tovar, for her views. It's her 1st Amendment right to spew whatever self-indulgent shit comes to mind. However, I find it Clown World hypocritical when she demands that White Knights (crap, that might be racist ... how about Heroic-Knights-of-Undetermined-Color) must-and-shall be infatuated with a weighty woman who valiantly proclaims:
- I have the freedom to terminate a pregnancy
- Remain fabulously single
- [and] be FAT
Damn! I can't claim to be an HKUC (Heroic-Knight-of-Undetermined-Color). Shit! I don't even know how to ride a horse or wield a battle axe in mortal combat! Am I unworthy of the Goddess Virgie Tovar ???
Ohh!! Coming to my senses ... by her own logic and feminine authority I can honestly say:
- I have the freedom to terminate a crap relationship
- Remain in a fabulous, monogamous love affair
- [and] be FIT
I may have nightmares tonight.
